This video was sent to me on Facebook this week and I was completely captivated by it. After I did a little research, I found out that this video dates back to 2009 and the gentleman putting on the epic dance performance of Bon Jovi‘s Living on a Prayer is a man named Jeremy Fry. I’ve never seen this before so I figured it was worth posting about.
Now besides the fact that most fans put on the big screen during a sporting event get about 5 seconds of glory, I do wonder if Fry was a plant by the Boston Celtics to generate excitement during a break in the action.
The moment that makes me think this was real is in the beginning when Fry is initial sitting with an older woman [presumably his mother] and she taps him on the leg excitingly letting him know that he is on camera.
The fan interaction throughout this video is great. We see hugs and kisses. Although, my favorite part comes at the 1:40 mark when he gets close to the fan in a light blue shirt and the fan shoves him away.
I’ll never understand why Fry didn’t spend more time with the blond and brunette who were desperately trying to get a piece.
